Certainly one of those where the photos will do most of the talking...

Here we have a fantastic example of an early M35 combat helmet which received the typical 3-tone camouflage finish in the so-called 'Normandy' scheme - incorporating the classic colours of tan, green and red/brown.

This is a combat helmet that has certainly seen action and a few paint scheme changes along the way! Original factory-applied apple green paint; topped first by circa 1940 era reissue grey, and then finally in the camouflage overspray.

Maker and lot number markings to the shell itself are faint and mostly obscured by the numerous layers of paint.

The helmet is fitted with its correct, non-reinforced aluminium liner band that has suffered some battle damage - including loss on one side, and to the opposite area where the chinstrap bailes would be positioned. Removed and re-fitted at some stage - yet the liner band also exhibits remains of exact same reissue grey overpaint and so is period original to this shell.

The leather also retains the early war variant of size markings/stamps to the leather itself, as shown. There are also some initials of the wearer applied on the inside the rear skirt as well.

A great example if you're after a true 'been there' original camouflage painted combat helmet - particularly, in one of the most sought after of camo schemes!
