A super example of the Gestell 38 optic tripod, as was primarily issued with the 10x80 Flakfernrohr binoculars, but also employed with other larger binocular variants and rangefinders.
This one has at some stage received a repaint in the correct shade of field grey paint.
It is clearly maker code marked 'jux' to signify manufacture by Nedinson, Nederlandsche Instrumenten, Venlo.
The tripod still functions fully, including the central locking adjuster and extendable function of all three legs.
