Very rare original anti-aircraft spider sight for the MG42. This particular variation is of late-war manufacture, using stamped construction to form the main ring and web. The stem is nicely Waffenamt marked 'WaA37' as is correct for this variation.
One of these parts would have been carried in the belt-mounted tool pouches (Werkzeugtasche). A must-have accessory for any MG42, yet one which is very scarcely seen!
