M24 stick grenade storage box + Einsatz rack 'ET 40'

A extremely nice original example of the steel storage and transit case for the M24 Steilhandgranate stick grenades.
 
This example retains the vast majority of the original dark green paint finish, as well as the original stencil designation markings inside and out. Even some battle damage to one corner edge - but nothing that affects the form or function in any way.
 
The case is nicely maker marked and dated 'ET 40', along with a Waffenamt proof.
 
Internally, the set retains the very rare original storage rack (Einsatz). This part is also Waffenamt marked and retained in relatively good used condition - some corrosion but also with original matching dark green paint and stencil markings still remaining visible. All retaining prongs remain intact!
