Zeiss 6x30 Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery binoculars 'Nr. 847'
An extremely scarce pair of early-war Zeiss Kriegsmarine 6x30 binoculars for issue to Coastal Artillery forces, complete with all of the matching accessories exactly as they came originally from a US Veteran estate.
This set retains the vast majority of the original tan/green paint finish - unique to this variant - to both the binoculars and accessories such as the two sun filters etc.
They are nicely inscribed with the Carl Zeiss Jena maker's logo, as well as the fully intact KM property markings. Serial number marked 'Nr. 847' out of the total contract of just 1500 units.
The case, leather ocular cover and button retaining flap also all show the inscribed owner's name 'Koch' - only proving even further that this set has always been as one since the war!
As to be expected with quality Zeiss binoculars such as these, the optics still remain in very good useable order - with the correct KM artillery crosshair type reticule within the right-hand side.
In over a decade of collecting optics this is one of only a handful of these unique KM 6x30 sets which we have ever had the opportunity to obtain and subsequently offer for sale!
