Zeiss 7x50 U-boat binoculars 'blc'

A stunning, wartime used pair of mid to late-war Zeiss 'blc' coded 7x50 armoured U-boat binoculars.
 
Each U-boat would have carried a complement of 10 of these binoculars for use on watch duties whilst surfaced.
 
Factory finished in the typical KM shade of yellow/green; retaining 95%+ of the paint finish.
 
This example still comes complete with all of the original rubber armour, which remains in absolutely excellent shape, and the elusive wartime Bakelite Benutzer lens cover! A British binocular strap has also been fitted at some stage, most likely upon capture.
 
The optics are superb! Producing a really great, clear and sharp image as is often to expected from these remarkable binoculars when cared for correctly. 
 
A highly desirable and collectible piece of U-boat history, as well as being a rarely seen example which remains completely unmessed with and exactly as it was found!
