ZF4 sniper scope 'dow' + accessories

An original, untouched ZF4 sniper scope set which remains exactly as it was found directly from the estate of a British veteran! 
 
This particular example was produced under the maker code 'dow', which identifies manufacture by Optikotechna, and comes with its original wartime fitted accessories - including the rubber eyepiece (split), windage dial cover, front rainshield and leather/Presstoff scope cover. Also included is a piece of gauze that was found inside the rainshield and looks to have been attached at some stage - perhaps as a makeshift glare cover?
 
The optics and reticle are still somewhat clear, but could also benefit from cleaning if desired for serious use. 
 
A wonderful set which has surely been together ever since issue and subsequent capture during the war!
